I personally don't know of any in that area. You already know about SCCA. I'm not sure if NASA down south autoxs. They do in Northern Cal. PCA often runs autoxs up here. You may get lucky with them down south. tips that I might suggest is to set your rear TOkicos to stiffest and your front Tokicos to softest, and then adjust accordingly. If the rear end hops too much, soften it. If it's way too much over steer, stiffen the front, or soften the rear. This should be a good starting point. I'm guessing your running street tires. 37-40 psi all round should be a good starting point. If you want to get really finicky, mark your the sides of your tires with shoe polish. After doing a run, see how high you are riding on your sidewalls. Start with higher tire pressures, and bring them down untill your wear stays on the tread, slowly bring the wear closer to the sidewalls but w/o getting sidewall run. This will just give you a rough estimate of good tire psi. Ideally, you'll want a tire temperature gauge, and measure the temperature across the tread. If you want some driving tips, I'd say try to pay more attention to driving technique than car setup. Get a baseline setup, but pay more attention to improving technique than improving setup. Don't overcook your corners. Get on the gas at apex, or before apex. Try to late apex almost every turn. After your technique has gotten better and more consistant after 10-15+ autoxs, I'd recommend some early apexing and trail braking. Be smooth. Slow in, fast out. Don't be too jerky with the steering wheel. Have fun!
